Checkpoint

Terms of service

Last updated July 14, 2026

The service

Checkpoint is a memory layer for AI coding agents: it stores project state that your agents write over MCP or HTTP and serves it back as digests and a dashboard. You need an account to use it, and you're responsible for activity that happens under your account and API keys.

Your content

Everything you or your agents store in Checkpoint remains yours. You grant us only the license needed to store, process, and serve that content back to you — that's what the product is.

You're responsible for what you store. Don't use Checkpoint to store content that's illegal or that you don't have the right to hold.

Plans and billing

The Free plan includes one project and 30 days of visible build-log history. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and unlocks unlimited projects and full history.

You can cancel anytime; your subscription runs to the end of the paid period. Downgrading never deletes data — history beyond the free window becomes hidden until you upgrade again.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, resell it without permission, or use it to violate the law. Rate limits exist to keep the service fast for everyone; don't engineer around them.

Availability and changes

Checkpoint is provided as-is, without warranties. We work to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use Checkpoint after a change means you accept the updated terms.
